User Guide for ACM (Association of Computing Manufacturing)

Who uses ACM?

Computer Science and Computer Engineering majors use ACM.

What is the coverage of ACM?

ACM indexes ACM periodicals and proceedings from 1985 to the present.

Is ACM a full-text database?

Full-text is available for most articles but not for every proceeding article published prior to 1991.

Where do I access ACM?

Select ACM from the database page on the Galvin Library home page at http://www.gl.iit.edu/database/database.htm.

How do I search ACM?

ACM allows for field searching, which means you can search by author, title of article, full-text, abstracts, reviews, and index terms.    Refine your search by selecting all words, any words, exact phrase, subject, or expression.  Limit your search by year and publication type.  Sort your results either by Score, Publication, or Publication Date.  For more help, see http://www.acm.org/dl/search_help.html.
