Privacy of Users of the University Library

Applies to: All Library Users

It is the policy of the library that the privacy of all library patrons shall be respected. Without a court order, the library will not reveal registration or circulation records.

Furthermore, the library subscribes to the Code of Ethics of the American Library Association.

Section III of the Code of Ethics states:

We protect each library user's right to privacy and confidentiality with respect to information sought or received and resources consulted, borrowed, acquired or transmitted.
