Services for faculty and staff of IIT, IITRI, Shimer, and VanderCook.
The library provides borrowing privileges to scholars who have been invited to the university to participate in research and/or instructional activities. Visiting scholars can borrow materials from IIT libraries and I-Share, a statewide consortium of dozens of academic libraries. Overdue fines, replacement costs, and processing fees are applicable when items are not returned on time or are lost or damaged.
To apply for these privileges, fill out, print and return the Visiting Scholar Borrowing Contract to the Circulation Desk.
Once your library account has been activated, visiting scholars may also request materials through interlibrary loan by creating an account in MyILL.
