Users with Disabilities

Galvin Library is accessible via a ramp by the front door, electrical doors and wide-gate access on the first level for individuals with wheelchairs. The second floor is accessible via elevator. Room G of the Group Study Suite on the lower level has a computer loaded with screen-reading software for visually impaired users, as well as an image magnification system. There are accessible computers on the lower level, as well as the upper level. Photocopiers on both levels are designed for wheelchair access and a TDD phone for the hearing impaired is on the lower level near the elevator. Library staff will assist with retrieving items from shelves or demonstrating assistive technologies.
