Borrowing & Circulation

The Circulation Desk is located next to the main entrance on the Lower Level of the library. All library materials, including Course Reserves, items borrowed through Interlibrary Loan, and loaner laptops and iPads circulate from this desk. If you have lost or damaged a book, contact the Circulation Desk as soon as possible.

Library materials lent to you remain your responsibility until they have been returned and discharged from your account. When an item is one (1) month overdue, it will be assumed lost and replacement cost plus a $25 processing fee will be levied on your account. If the lost item is returned, replacement and processing fees will be waived, but overdue fees may be assessed.

You must consult with library staff before submitting a replacement copy for a lost or damaged item. A replacement copy must be of the same or later edition as the lost item and must be in like-new condition. The library reserves the right to refuse replacement copies.

Library staff has the right to make reasonable inquiries regarding books or journals that may have been improperly removed from the library, and may recall checked-out library material at any time.

Other institutions

Replacement fees and processing charges that are assessed by other institutions must be paid directly to the respective institution. Library staff will assist you in identifying the lending institution and items in question.
