Alumni
IIT Libraries provide circulation and interlibrary loan services to IIT alumni for an annual fee of $50. The individual will be responsible for any circulation activity occurring under these privileges, including charges posted by the library for overdue fines, or replacement cost for lost or damaged materials.
Due to vendor licensing restrictions, off-campus access to the library's online databases is NOT included in alumni privileges.
During regular semester hours, alumni are welcome to visit the library during public access hours. From 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm IIT Alumni may be admitted by presenting a valid ID* at the circulation desk and having their alumni status verified by a staff member. Alumni needing computer or wireless access should visit the Support Desk on the upper level of Galvin Library. OTS Support Desk staff will verify alumni status and grant network access privileges.
Alumni borrowing privileges allow requests through the online catalog, but does not extend to on-site borrowing at I-Share libraries. Alumni users must pick up their requested materials from the circulation desk at Galvin Library on Main Campus. Renewals can be done online using your I-Share account.
Download the Alumni Library Privileges Contract application and mail your completed application and check (made payable to the Galvin Library) to:

Your alumni account is confirmed through the registrar's office and processing may take up to 72 hours before your library account is completed. You will receive an email confirming when your account is ready. Once your alumni account has been processed, you can set up your own interlibrary loan account in MyILL to request journal articles and items not available in I-Share.
*At this time, there is not an IIT ID card for alumni, so alumni will be asked to present a valid government ID with photo (driver's license, passport, etc) to pick up requested materials.
