Visiting Scholar Program

The Galvin Library provides borrowing privileges to scholars who have been invited to the university  to participate in research and/or instructional activities. All other visitors are subject to the library' s Guest Borrower fees.

Circulation. Visiting Scholars enjoy the same library privileges as IIT academic employees regarding  items borrowed from the Galvin Library and its statewide consortium of 71 libraries. Recalls and holds will be applied on materials borrowed.  Overdue fines, replacement costs, and processing fees are applicable when items are not returned on time or are lost or damaged.

Visiting Scholars may also request articles through interlibrary loan. 

To apply for these privileges, fill out and print the Visiting Scholar Borrowing Contract form and return it to:
