The Galvin Library, IIT's main library, has many exciting positions for students. We are looking for bright, motivated, and responsible federal work-study students to do a variety of jobs, all crucial to library operations.  Please note, these positions are available  to U.S. citizens and permanent residents only.

Work for one of these departments:

Technical Services
Administration
GIS Lab
Government Documents
Reference Department
Archives
Circulation
Library Technology Group

Performing one or more of these duties:

• Staff the Circulation Desk, help check out and process books

• Answer questions at the Reference Desk, update serials inventory, reshelve books

• Create statistical databases

• Assist users at the GIS Lab and Resource Center

• Create and edit HTML pages

• Process, catalog, and shelve government documents
   

• Scan and digitize rare materials for Special Projects

• Perform data entry, online searching, shelving, and physical processing
